Brand new BMW 7 Series animation using a Shape Tween technique

See this thoroughly explained tutorial and learn how to create simple BMW 7 Series animation using a Shape tween technique. You don't have to use action script code to make this lesson. For this lesson, you just have to use shape transformation. Let's go!

Step 1

First, save a picture of brand new BMW 7 below!

Step 2

Create a new flash document. Press Ctrl+J key on the keyboard (Document Properties) and set the width of your document to 450 pixels and the height to 153 pixels. (as the dimensions of picture). Select any color as background color. Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 22 and click ok.

Step 3

Choose now File > Import > Import to Stage (Ctrl+R) and import a picture of BMW 7 Series into a flash stage.

Step 4

While the picture is still selected, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and do the following:

1. Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on,
2. Click on the Align horizontal center button and
3. Click the Align vertical center button.

Step 5

Take the selection Tool (V) and click twice on the layer 1 to change his name into a picture. After that, create a new layer above the layer picture and name it shape.

Step 6

Select now shape layer, take the Rectangle Tool (R) and draw a rectangle shape over the whole picture! See the picture below!

Step 7

Click now on frame 8, 16, 24, 32 and 38 and press F6 key.

Step 8

Go back on frame 8, take the Selection Tool (V) and make a shape like it is shown on the picture below!

Step 9

Select now frame 16 and make this shape using the Selection Tool (V).

Step 10

Select now frame 24 and make this shape!

Step 11

Select now frame 32 and make this shape!

Step 12

Select now frame 38 and move the rectangle shape outside the flash stage!

Step 13

Select now layer shape and go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. On the left side, you'll see a Twee Drop Down menu. Select Shape on it like it is shown on the picture below!
