Cool image effect

This, step by step, detailed flash tutorial will show you how to create cool image effect using some special flash tips and tricks. You don't have to use action script code to make this lesson. Using this lesson, You will also learn:

1. How to rotate the image.
2. How to convert a bitmap image into a symbol.
3. How to zoom a picture.
4. How to use a Brightness color and more.

Example:



Step 1

Open new Flash document and set Background color to black. Flash movie's frame rate set to 28.





Step 2


Find on internet or somewhere any picture on which you want to apply this effect. You can alos download my picture if you like.



Step 3

After that, Import that picture into a Flash (File > Import > Import to Stage).

Step 4

While the picture is still selected, go to the Align Panel (shortcut key: Ctrl+K) and do the following in the Align panel:

1. Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on,
2. Click on the Align horizontal center button and
3. Click the Align vertical center button.



Now, you have aligned your picture with the background.

Step 5

While the picture is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this picture into a Graphic Symbol. See the picture below.



Step 6

Click on frame 30 and after that on frame 35 and frame 40 and then, on frame 45 and 50 and press F6 key.See the picture below.



Step 7

Go back on frame 35, take the Selection Tool (V), click once on the image to select it, and go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage.

Step 8

On the right, you will see the Color menu. Select Brightness in it and put it down to -88%. See the picture below.



Step 9

Repeat the previous step also for frame 45.

Step 10

Right-click anywhere on the gray area between the frame 30 and 35, 35 and 40, 40 and 45, 45 and 50 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears. See the picture below.



Step 11

Click on frame 60 and after that on frame 70 and press F6 key.

Step 12

Go back on frame 60, take again the Selection Tool (V) and click once again on image to select it.

Step 13

Go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Select again Brightness, but for this time, put it down to -70%. See the picture below.



Step 14

While you're still on frame 60, take the Free Transform Tool (Q) and zoom the picture a little. See the picture below.



Step 15

After that, while you're still on frame 60, go to the Properties Panel below the stage. Select Motion from the Tween menu. For Rotate set CCW and for Ease choose -100%. See the picture below.



Step 16

Go back on frame 50 and go again to the Properties Panel below the stage. Select Motion from the Tween menu. For Rotate set CW and for Ease choose 100%. See the picture below.



Test you're movie (Ctrl+Enter).
