Modern Picture appereance by color mixer

This tutorial will show you how to create simple and in the same time very attractive and useful picture appearance using the Color Mixer Panel and gradient. To make this tutorial, you don't have to use action script.



Step 1

First of all, find any picture that you will be use for this tutorial. You can also download my picture if you like.





Step 2

Open a new flash document.

Step 3

Select Modify > Document (shortcut key: Ctrl+J ). Set the width and height of your documents to be same dimensions as the picture. Select white as background color.Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 24 and click ok.

Step 4

Choose File > Import > Import to Stage (Shortcut key:Ctrl+R) and import the picture that you will be use for this lesson.

Step 5

While the picture is still selected, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and set the following options:

1.Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on,
2.Click on the Align horizontal center button and
3.Click the Align vertical center button.



Step 6

Double click on layer 1 to rename its name in picture. Then, click on frame 50 and press F5 key.

Step 7

Create a new layer above the picture layer and name it gradient effect.

Step 8

Take the Rectangle Tool (R). In the Colors portion of the Tool panel, block the Stroke color by clicking on the little pencil icon and then on the small square with the red diagonal line. For Fill color choose white and draw a "rectangle" over the picture. See the picture below.



Step 9

While the rectangle is still selected, go to the Color Mixer Panel (Shoetcut key: Shift+F9) and choose the following options:

1. Click on the paint bucket icon to select the Fill color.
2. Choose Radial as Type.
3. Click on the small color rectangle that is on the left side and set its color to white. Alpha property set to100 %
4. Do that also for the rectangle from the right side.
5. Create a new color rectangle and place it on the middle. Then, set its color to #D0D0D0. Alpha property set to100 %.



Now you have this:



Step 10

Click on frame 10 of layer gradient effect and press F6 key. Then, go to the Color Mixer Panel again, select the middle color rectangle and for Alpha set 80%. See the picture below.



Now you have this:



Step 11

Click on frame 20 and press F6 key. Then, in the Color Mixer Panel select again middle rectangle and for its Alpha set 40%. See the picture below.



Step 12

Click on frame 30 and press F6 key. Then, go again to the Color Mixer Panel and do the Following:

Click on frame 40 and press F6 key again.Then, go to the Color Mixer Panel and choose the following options:



Step 14

Click on frame 50 and press F6 key. After that, go again to the Color Mixer Panel and choose the following options:



Step 15

Take the Selection Tool (V) and select the gradient effect layer. Then, go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. On the left side you will see Tween drop down menu. Then, select Shape on it. See the picture below.
