Bitmap to vector conversion

This very simple lesson will show you how to convert bitmap picture into a vector, using a little flash options called Trace Bitmap. You can use this effect if you like to make a cool picture as poster, or if you like to lower your file size. Only one thing that you had, when you converted your Bitmap picture into a Vector is that, when you have zoomed your vector graphic, you will not lose on quality. You don't have to use action script code to make this lesson. Let's go!

Step 1

Create a new flash document. After that, import your Bitmap picture into a flash (choose File > Import > Import to Stage or press Ctrl+R key on the keyboard).



Step 2

While the bitmap picture is still selected, choose Modify > Bitmap > Trace Bitmap. See the picture below.



After that, a Trace Bitmap window will be appear. Then, choose the options like it is shown on the picture below:
